In a world where accessibility, diversity, and empowerment remain pressing challenges, Natalie Rosado stands as a beacon of change. A counselor, entrepreneur, and advocate for social justice, Natalie’s journey is one of resilience, passion, and unwavering commitment.
Born in the Bronx, New York, from Puerto Rican parents, Natalie moved to Tampa, Florida, at five. She pursued sociology and psychology at the University of South Florida (USF), later earning a master’s degree in sociology from Boston College and a master’s in counseling at USF.
Throughout her career, Natalie’s work has been driven by social justice. As a former diversity consultant at USF, she addressed racial and ethnic disparities, particularly in education and mental health. However, her true calling was counseling—helping individuals navigate struggles while advocating for systemic change. This realization grew through years of experience, witnessing firsthand the gaps in mental health accessibility for underserved communities.
In 2020, amid a global pandemic, Natalie launched Tampa Counseling Place, an integrative mental health practice. What began as a vision soon flourished into a thriving business, employing over 20 professionals who offer counseling, nutrition, and physical health services. Understanding the importance of cultural representation, she intentionally hires Latina therapists, ensuring clients from diverse backgrounds feel seen, heard, and understood. She believes healing is not just an individual process but a collective one, where community and representation play vital roles.
Beyond her counseling practice, Natalie runs her personal brand, focusing on social justice and women’s empowerment. She is passionate about supporting Latinas in professional spaces, recognizing the barriers they face in academia and business. Having navigated a predominantly white graduate program, Natalie understands the weight of cultural identity and the need for mentorship. Her experiences have fueled her drive to create spaces where women, particularly Latinas, can share their voices and build confidence.
Her journey as a Hispanic entrepreneur in Tampa Bay has been one of perseverance and continuous learning. Through networking events, she builds relationships that foster community and opportunity. Her goal is not just personal success but also uplifting other Hispanic entrepreneurs. She knows true empowerment comes from collective action and is committed to paying forward the mentorship and support she has received.
Natalie’s story is a testament to representation, mentorship, and advocacy. As she expands her reach, she remains committed to creating safe spaces for women, ensuring that no one feels alone in their journey toward healing and empowerment. With passion and purpose, she is paving the way for future Latina leaders and lasting change.
